Dry-Stick Installation Method

Adhesive smart film is installed dry, without water. Clean glass preparation, careful positioning and patient handling are critical for quality.

Practice Before Commercial Work

Installers typically need three to four practice installations to reach consistent quality before actively selling the service.

Guides, Videos and Support

SFI provides installation guides, videos, tips, sample films, power accessories and practical support through the installer qualification process.

Qualification Steps

Qualification Steps

To qualify as a smart film installer, SFI recommends a practical path: start with powered samples, complete pilot installations, then deliver a first real client project before scaling commercially.

Step A — Start with Samples

Get small size plug-in samples to demonstrate smart film to designers, architects and potential clients, and to practice sticking film over glass.

Step B — Run Office Pilots

Install several small office windows with power access. Measure carefully, deduct 1/8″ (3 mm) from each side and mark handle or hinge cut-outs in advance.

Step C — Complete a Client Project

After a successful real client project, begin promoting the product commercially with confidence in installation quality and finish.
