Smart Films International (“SFI”) is a developer and manufacturer of Smart Glass Film products for Privacy and Solar Control (Energy Efficiency) solutions. Our main markets are Architecture as smart film windows & partitions.
Smart Film
Smart Film or Smart Glass, also known as Switchable Glass or Privacy Glass is an innovative solution for Privacy on Demand. The Smart Glass switches from opaque (milky-white) when no power (OFF State) to transparent (ON State) upon applying electrical power.
In attempting to upgrade existing glass to a Smart Glass (retrofit) we developed a Self-Adhesive Smart Film that applied to existing glasses.
We are working with Smart Glass Manufacturers in the USA and Worldwide and offer competitive Smart Glass Film prices.
Smart Solar Control Glass
This refers to either of the 3 technologies for the façade:

Electrochromic - drive-by voltage. Active technology.

Thermochromic - effect by exposure to heat/sun. Passive technology.

Photochromic - tinted by exposure to light. Passive technology.

SFI develops, manufactures and sells flexible Liquid Crystal films, which is based on Crystal Clear Switch (CCS) technology. CCS provides comprehensive design-to-manufacturing LC solutions. We offer dynamic flexible LC lenses for the new generation of Augmented Reality glasses, Goggles, Glasses, Visors, Helmets, Strobe Glasses, Sun Glasses and more.
Our flexible LC lenses enables a dynamic range of visible light transmission (VLT) electrically controlled by a low AC voltage of less than 10V.

PRIVACY SMART GLASS
Smart glass or switchable glass (also smart windows or switchable windows in those applications) is a glass or glazing whose light transmission properties are altered when voltage, light, or heat is applied.
In general, the glass changes from transparent to translucent and vice versa, changing from letting light pass through to blocking some (or all) wavelengths of light and vice versa.
